Incorrect announcement of the winner allowed nearly 100x profit. A trader on Polymarket turned $676 into over $67,000 thanks to a brief error during the UFC fight result announcement.

After the fight between Tyrell Fortune and Marcin Tybura, ring announcer Bruce Buffer mistakenly named Tybura the winner. A user under the nickname LlamaEnjoyer suspected the error and within seconds bought shares on Fortune’s victory at 1 cent.

When the result was quickly corrected, the bet delivered nearly 100x profit – about $67,600. The trader also noted that he initially planned to place a large bet on Tybura but canceled the deal, sensing that ‘something was off’.
