The organizers of the Esports World Cup 2026 have released the list of teams that received direct invitations to the Counter-Strike 2 tournament. Twenty-eight teams have already qualified for the main stage of the competition, while four more participants will be determined based on the results of the qualifier scheduled for August 7–9.
Among the invited teams are three Ukrainian organizations: NAVI, B8, and Monte. Teams with Ukrainian representation will also compete in the tournament: Turkish FUT Esports, which features two Ukrainian esports players, and NIP, represented by Artem “cairne” Mushynskyi.
For NAVI, the upcoming championship will hold special significance, as the Ukrainian organization won the first Esports World Cup in 2024 and will attempt to reclaim the title.
The MongolZ remains the reigning champion of the tournament. In the final of last year’s edition, the Mongolian team confidently defeated Aurora 3-0 and claimed the championship trophy.
The CS2 competition will take place in Paris from August 12 to 23. Compared to last year, the number of participants has doubled—from 16 to 32 teams. The total prize pool for the tournament will be $2 million, making it one of the largest esports championships of the season.
