Seven Ukrainian women will compete directly in the main draw of the 2026 U.S. Open

The organizers of the US Open 2026 have announced the list of players who received direct entry into the tournament's main draw. Among them are seven Ukrainian women who qualified as part of the 102 players accepted based on the WTA rankings.

Ukraine will be represented at the season's final Grand Slam by Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, Oleksandra Oliynykova, Daria Snigur, Yuliia Starodubtseva, Anhelina Kalinina, and Dayana Yastremska.

Four more Ukrainians remain on the alternate list. Vitalii Sachko is listed in the men's event, while Veronika Podrez, Anastasiia Sobolieva, and Katarina Zavatska are among the women. They are expected to compete for places in the main draw through qualifying.

For Elina Svitolina, the upcoming US Open will be her 13th appearance at the tournament. Her best result came in 2019, when she reached the semifinals.

Marta Kostyuk will compete in the US Open main draw for the seventh consecutive year. She arrives in New York after reaching back-to-back Grand Slam semifinals at Roland Garros and Wimbledon, while last year she achieved her best US Open result by advancing to the fourth round.

For Oleksandra Oliynykova, this will be her debut in the US Open main draw. Last year, she was eliminated in the opening round of qualifying.

Daria Snigur will compete in the US Open main draw for the second time in her career. After her successful debut in 2022, she fell in qualifying in each of the following three years.

Yuliia Starodubtseva will make her third consecutive appearance in the main draw of the American major, while Anhelina Kalinina returns to the tournament after missing last year's edition due to injury.

For Dayana Yastremska, this will be her eighth US Open main draw appearance. Her best result remains reaching the third round in 2019.

The US Open 2026 main draw begins on August 30, while the reigning champion is neutral athlete Aryna Sabalenka.
