The legendary Cache map is returning to professional Counter-Strike 2. The first LAN tournament to feature it in the map pool will be Stake Ranked Episode 3 in Barcelona.

Cache, which was once one of the most popular maps in the previous version of Counter-Strike, will replace Overpass in the competitive map pool.

The developers also announced that the map will officially return to the CS2 Premier map pool in Season 5. The new season will begin after the current one ends, with the current season running until July 6.

Stake Ranked Episode 3 will take place in Barcelona, Spain, from July 15 to July 18, 2026.

Eight teams will compete in the tournament for a share of the $100,000 prize pool.

The return of Cache has become one of the most anticipated changes for CS fans. The map has a rich history on the professional scene and was once an essential part of major Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournaments.
