Czech tennis player Linda Nosková became the Wimbledon 2026 champion, winning her maiden Grand Slam title. In the final, she defeated fellow Czech Karolína Muchová in a three-set match.
The championship match ended with Nosková claiming a 6:2, 5:7, 6:3 victory. After a dominant opening set, the 21-year-old Czech came close to sealing the title in the second set, holding five championship points at 5:2. However, Muchová mounted a comeback to force a deciding third set.
In the final set, Nosková regained control and closed out the match, securing the biggest achievement of her professional career.
On her way to the title, the Czech player also defeated Ukraine's Marta Kostyuk in the semifinals, preventing her from reaching her first-ever Grand Slam final.
