Scuderia Ferrari announced the signing of a new long-term contract with Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix.
The parties have not disclosed the details of the new agreement, but it is known that the driver will remain with the Italian team for the long term. It was previously reported that Leclerc’s previous contract was valid until 2029.
Leclerc is a product of the Ferrari Academy and has been part of the team’s system since 2016. During this time, he has become one of Scuderia’s key drivers and one of the leaders of modern Formula 1.
Today, the 28-year-old Monegasque ranks second in Ferrari history in terms of the number of Grand Prix races driven—178 starts. In his Formula 1 career, he has secured 8 victories, finished on the podium 52 times, and claimed pole position 27 times.
