Ukrainian esports player Artem "r1nkle" Moroz is returning to the top level of Counter-Strike. G2 Esports officially announced the signing of the Ukrainian, who will replace Álvaro "SunPayus" García.
Earlier, G2 moved the Spanish AWPer to the bench, after which the club began searching for a new player for the AWP role. The team's choice fell on r1nkle, who already has experience competing on the tier-one scene.
The Ukrainian's most recent club was Ninjas in Pyjamas. Artem played for NIP from April 2024, but after the team's disappointing performance and failure to qualify for the Major in April 2026, he was moved to the bench.
During his time with NIP, r1nkle played 415 maps and posted an average rating of 1.10. Together with the team, he won the tier-two Roman Imperium Cup VI and also finished as runner-up at StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2025, where NIP lost 0:2 to NAVI in the final.
Now the Ukrainian AWPer will receive a new opportunity with one of the most famous organizations on the global scene. At G2, he will join a team that consistently competes for titles at the biggest tournaments.
r1nkle will make his debut for his new team on July 21 at BLAST Bounty Season 2. The tournament will become the Ukrainian's first test as a G2 player.
