Legendary Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has become the face of the international promotional campaign for the Esports World Cup 2026. The tournament organizers have officially confirmed the continuation of their partnership with the player and unveiled a new promotional video featuring him.
As the global brand ambassador, Ronaldo will help promote the tournament both before its start and throughout the competition. The Esports World Cup Foundation believes that the footballer's audience of more than one billion social media followers will help further popularize esports worldwide.
Ronaldo will also take part in covering the tournament's biggest moments, highlight the performances of leading esports athletes, and participate in the event's main promotional campaigns.
Joining the Portuguese star in the new promotional video are well-known representatives of esports and other intellectual disciplines, including KarlTzy, YiNuo, Magnus Carlsen, Faker, and ZywOo.
Ronaldo has been involved with the Esports World Cup since the project's inception. In 2023, he attended the tournament's official presentation, in 2024 he was present at the closing ceremony, and since 2025 he has officially served as the global ambassador of the competition.
