The Spaniard announced that he will not play in Paris due to a wrist injury, which will also keep him out of the Rome Masters in May.
“After undergoing tests, we decided that the smartest thing to do is to be cautious and not participate in Rome or Roland Garros. [...] This is a difficult time for me, but I am confident that we will come out stronger,” the Spaniard explained on social media.
Alcaraz will not play at Roland Garros for the first time since 2020, when he made his debut in the qualifiers. He will also break a streak of 12 consecutive Grand Slam appearances.
The Spaniard won the last two editions of the French Open. He also won the first Grand Slam of 2026, claiming his first Australian Open title.
