Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk earned the highest prize money of her career thanks to her successful run at Wimbledon 2026.
For reaching the semifinals of the London Grand Slam, Kostyuk received £900,000 (approximately $1.2 million).
This surpassed the prize money she earned for reaching the semifinals of Roland Garros 2026 ($875,000). Her previous personal record had been set just two months earlier after winning the WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid (more than €1 million).
As a result, Wimbledon became the second tournament of the 2026 season where Kostyuk set a new personal prize money record.
In addition to the singles event, Marta also competed in doubles alongside Romania's Elena-Gabriela Ruse, reaching the second round and earning an additional £29,000 (more than $38,900).
During the 2026 season, Kostyuk reached the semifinals of two consecutive Grand Slam tournaments for the first time in her career — Roland Garros and Wimbledon. At the London major, she also equaled the best result by a Ukrainian woman in the tournament's history (Elina Svitolina reached the semifinals twice).
Kostyuk's next tournaments will be the WTA 500 event in Washington, followed by the WTA 1000 tournament in Toronto.
US Open 2026 begins on August 30. Kostyuk's best result in New York remains a fourth-round appearance (2025).
